Opens Saint Elizabeth Terrace
HUD Apartment Building in Warwick

Saint Elizabeth Community, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable organization, announces the completion of construction of Saint Elizabeth Terrace, a 34 unit apartment building on Warwick Neck Avenue, Warwick. A certificate of occupancy was issued on Tuesday, January 31st and the first resident moved in on February 2, 2012.  Saint Elizabeth Terrace is a $5.2 million HUD project, providing apartments to low income seniors in need of affordable housing.

Saint Elizabeth Terrace is the tenth location for Saint Elizabeth Community, whose members include, two nursing and rehab centers, (Saint Elizabeth Home and Saint Elizabeth Manor) an affordable assisted living residence, (Saint Elizabeth Court) five adult day centers (Cornerstone Adult Services) and now, two HUD apartment buildings, (Saint Elizabeth Place and Saint Elizabeth Terrace).  Saint Elizabeth Terrace was built by Calson Construction Corporation and designed by Durkee, Brown,Viveiros & Werenfels Architects.  This project took about 17 months to complete, and years to plan.

“We are grateful to all those involved in the project,” says Steven J. Horowitz, President and CEO of Saint Elizabeth Community, “and especially grateful to the Board of Trustees of Saint Elizabeth Community and Cornerstone Adult Services for their vision and commitment to this project.”  This apartment complex is already 100% full with a waiting list for future residency, and residents will be moving in throughout February and early March.
