Nancy Brayton Osborn Adult Day Health Center
Under New Management
Little Compton> On Monday, March 7th, the Nancy Brayton Osborn Adult Day Health Center, located in Little Compton, will be under new management. Cornerstone Adult Services, Inc., a leading provider of adult day services in Rhode Island, and a member of Saint Elizabeth Community, will be assuming the operation of the center. The center previously operated as a program of the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Massachusetts (VNASM).
“We are pleased to offer continuity to the residents of Little Compton and surrounding areas, by providing adult day services without interruption at the same location,” said Dottie Santagata, Administrator of Cornerstone. Cornerstone Adult Services, Inc, was founded in 1973, and has four day centers in Rhode Island including Cornerstone’s Alzheimer’s Care Center. Cornerstone will bring more than 35 years of experience to the Nancy Brayton Osborn Adult Day Health Center and a solid understanding of the great benefits of adult day centers, as well as the comprehensive services offered at day centers.
Provision of day services will not be disrupted, as the two organizations work together to offer a seamless transition for the clients enrolled. “We are pleased with the selection of Cornerstone Adult Services, Inc. as the new provider of services at the Nancy Brayton Osborn Adult Day Health Center,” said Sharon Jones, President/CEO of VNASM. “Clients can be confident that they will continue to receive the high level of care they have come to know at the center.”
The day center at 115 East Main Road, Little Compton is located in a building owned by the Friends of Little Compton Nursing Association, and that ownership remains in place. VNASM will continue to provide its other services from the East Main Road office including home health care, hospice and palliative care, health assessment clinics and wellness programs.
In 2009 Cornerstone Adult Services, Inc. became a member of Saint Elizabeth Community, a provider of comprehensive care to seniors, as well as those with disabilities and debilitating illness. Saint Elizabeth Community cares for over 1,000 individuals with 9 locations in Rhode Island.
