Management Biographies

Elizabeth Russell
Administrator

Beth has dedicated her professional career to caring for the aged and infirmed.  After graduating from Stonehill College with a degree in health care administration, she went to work for the Jewish Home for the Aged.  In 1987 she joined the Saint Elizabeth Community as manager of Westminster Place (now known as Saint Elizabeth Place, Providence) and has been with Saint Elizabeth Manor (formerly Metacom Manor) since 1993.

Mary Jean Sylvaria
Director of Nursing

Mary Jean is a talented caregiver who began her career in a hospital setting.  She started her career with The Saint Elizabeth Community as a charge nurse in 1979.  Currently she coordinates care for all residents of Saint Elizabeth Manor in accordance with current state, federal and local standards. 

A graduate of the Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing, Sylvaria has taken science courses at the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth and holds a certificate in gerontology from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Kathy Parker
Director of Admissions

Kathy is responsible for assisting families and potential applicants with the admissions process within the Saint Elizabeth Community since 1997.She’s a graduate of Salve Regina University, and has been working within the healthcare industry since 1992.

Kim Amaral
Human Resource Manager

Kim is responsible for hiring, orienting and maintaining staff at Saint Elizabeth Manor. A graduate of Rhode Island College, Kim joined the Saint Elizabeth Manor staff in 2005.

 

Rev. David Proctor
Director of Spirituality and Community Services

David joined Saint Elizabeth Manor in September of 2006, and is responsible for meeting the spiritual needs of residents.  David also coordinates the volunteer efforts at Saint Elizabeth Manor by recruiting and organizing volunteers.
